Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. The singer combines soul gospel jazz with R&B to create a unique mixture. The singer's career has taken her across Broadway to European events and clubs, to even the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. While she is a resident of Atlanta but she is in Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing and playing the piano in the church. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her training in the Atlanta's R&B scene. The first track to showcase her voice was called Stalk You which was a song from Japan's house 12 song. It has been re-mixed and is now element of her set. The Fighting Temptations was the another soundtrack on which she sang. In 2005 she took on the role of the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls the stage show of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally during her four daily performances at the Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform during President Obama's inaugural in 2009.
